Ryan Morrison

Attorney
  • Profile

Ryan is a competitor above all else. When his dreams of collegiate basketball were dashed due to multiple surgeries, he began wrestling and fighting mixed martial arts. When he decided he had more to offer than just being an athlete, he went all into Marine Corps Officer Training and flight school at the University of Oklahoma. That began the process for Ryan of honing his mind and body towards a common goal, while making the Dean’s list and being awarded an academic scholarship by his tribe, the Chickasaw Nation, in the process.

Ryan felt an urge to help people in a more direct and personal way than piloting provided, and his drive to become an attorney was ignited Junior year of college. Ryan received his Bachelor of Arts and Sciences from Oklahoma State University, with a minor in professional piloting. He then went on to obtain his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Baylor Law School in April of 2023. Fittingly coined as the “Marine Corps of Law Schools” Ryan understood all too well the discipline and grit that would be required of him and actively sought out the challenge.

While interning at the Waco District Attorney’s Office the summer of his 2L year, Ryan assisted with a multitude of cases and observed firsthand the struggles that family law issues can present to Texans. As the Vice President of the Baylor Law Student Wellness Organization, Ryan helped institute a 24-hour mental health service for his colleagues. Being a newly licensed attorney, Ryan is still gaining experience in the realm of family law. However, with the OWL team behind him, his relentless hunger to compete, and his unique understanding of the struggles that family law matters can present, he is ready and eager to fight to the end for his clients.
